Field Farm Cottage B&B - Reading

Staying at Field Farm Cottage was a good experience. The garden areas are beautifully maintained. Anne's warm hospitality. Breakfast featured fresh eggs, homemade jams, and locally sourced ingredients, delicious! The room I stayed in was cozy, clean, and had quality bedding that ensured a restful night. On the downside, finding the hotel was a bit challenging after dark, and I did notice some noise from adjacent rooms during the night. Parking can also be tricky during peak times, so a bit of planning is needed if you're driving. A charming spot with lots of heart and character.

The breakfast served was savoury, everything you could wish for, with cake and yoghurt, as for instance. Location: the hotel was next to a picture-book perfect garden, lovely nature, and nice pub. Also, the place was relatively near Tyle Mill Lock River Port.

It was also a great base for exploring nearby attractions like the Tyle Mill Lock, just a short stroll away and perfect for walking enthusiasts like myself.

It wasn't exactly inexpensive but you get what you pay for.

The noise from adjacent rooms can be quite disruptive, and the distance from dining options is a hassle after a long day!!! The limited parking availability during peak times is also a concern!!!

The host, Anne, was a delight, providing early breakfasts with homemade granola and fresh eggs from her garden. The room was cozy and well-kept, with lovely old-world charm. While I could hear chatter from adjacent rooms, the hospitality made it all worthwhile.

There are lovely sun loungers and a peaceful garden to relax in after a day of exploring. Just keep in mind that the location is a bit secluded, so having a car is helpful for getting around. 😊
